“Rafi, my personal sales consultant from Pronovias in Granada, treated me so well at the store and after asking me just a few questions she already knew what I was looking for” – Nuria, the bride.
Nuria and Álvaro got married in Málaga during the summer of 2016, and today we’re elated to share with you their amazing wedding photos from Sttilophoto and give you all the details of how the celebrated their love and union.
Their love story:
Nuria and Álvaro met 11 years ago in an English class, but at that point they weren’t quite saying “I love you” yet as Nuria shared with us. She explained, “We were 17 when we met and we didn’t get along all that well then. But the more time we spent together the more we grew on each other and then it just all changed. We started dating on October 5th, 2005, and haven’t been apart since. We knew we were made for one another, however cheesy that may sound.”
How he asked:
“When I came home from work and opened the door to our house, it was completely dark inside and then suddenly our song (I could die for you) started playing. Álvaro had left me 112 notes for the 112 months that we’d been together and 112 balloons on the floor. In each note, he’d written one reason why he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. Following the path of notes, I reached our bedroom where he was waiting for me… I still remember his face – he was super nervous! He greeted me with a few lovely words and then gave me the last note, which was hiding a small box behind it. Inside was a beautiful solitaire diamond with a white gold band. The last note asked if I would marry him. Obviously I didn’t have to think about it for even a second before responding yes of course…” – fondly recalls Nuria.
“I tried on several gowns just to make sure I had no doubts, but the moment I tried on the Valeria gown I knew it was the one for me” – shares the newlywed. “Rafi, the woman who assisted me at Pronovias in Granada, told me to picture myself entering the church and seeing my man waiting for me at the alter – and man did that work!” Nuria told us.
Nuria went on to say: “Without a doubt, this is a simple wedding gown, but I loved the details: the gorgeous open back, that was not very common but comfortable, and the train that was so long and fine.”
For accessories to her look, Nuria chose to wear a tulle veil and a gold floral-inspired headpiece, both from Pronovias, as well as small gold earrings that were a gift from her mother-in-law, her engagement ring, and a gold bracelet that was a gift from her sister. Her something blue came in the form of a pop of color from her heels.
The bouquet was created by a local artisan, Francisco. “I knew I wanted a classic tight-knit bouquet shape filled with flowers and greenery to match our wedding colors: jade green and peach, adding a touch of nude” – recalls Nuria.
After saying “I do” in their ceremony at the Church of Socorro in Ronda, the newlyweds and their guests went to El Huertecillo in Arriate for the reception festivities.
“One of the most unforgettable moments of my wedding was our wedding dance where we did an original choreography created by +Danza Mariola de Burgos, where we interpreted our love story to the sounds of “A Thousand Years.”
Needless to say, what makes a wedding so special are the people there that you share it with. As Nuria told us after the fact, “a wedding is just that – to celebrate the love between two people with the ones you care about most.”
All of the Pronovias team wishes you both nothing but the very best in your marriage. We hope you’ll always be happy and we are ever grateful that Nuria chose Pronovias to dress her bridal dreams on her wedding day.
