Someone once said “There’s an energy to New York that is unlike any other city in the world.” We could not agree more! That unique, unmistakeable energy is precisely what characterized our mid-fall photo shoot with Blair Eadie for our #PronoviasItBrides project.
We’d like to take you behind the scenes of this special shoot that we did all over the most iconic locations in the big apple, with Blair Eadie, author of the hit fashion and lifestyle blog, Atlantic-Pacific.
Her #PronoviasItBrides shoot started on a crisp mid-October day before the sun had even come up. Our first location was on the main entrance stairs leading up to the New York Public Library in Manhattan. Blair arrived right on time and we got started on her hair & makeup for the big day. We went for simple, radiant makeup with loose yet styled curls and a middle part.
On the steps in front of where great love stories are preserved, Blair brought our bridal dreams to life with her first look in the off-the-shoulder Albasari gown with side pockets. After a quick change, we stayed in the ideal mid-morning light in front of the library to capture her second look in Nuk dress from the Atelier Pronovias 2017 Collection.
With the delicate tulle overlay and dreamy tulle train, Nuk was Blair’s favorite dress during the day of the shoot. It is the essence of feminine and exquisite detailing.
Whether photographed in black and white or in color, in motion or standing still, Blair dazzled in Nuk dress, enchanting bystanders waiting to enter the library. This is a great dress for a bride that wants to be able to move comfortably and still look super elegant.
The delicate beaded belt at the waist is the perfect touch to this otherwise simple, sweetheart neckline gown. After dodging our fair share of yellow taxis, we packed up and headed over to the borough on the rise, Brooklyn.
Lunch was served and Blair slipped into Nepal gown from the Atelier Pronovias 2017 Collection. This dress is a lovely mix of tulle, lace, transparencies, and beading, and these studio photos brought us back to the era of old-Hollywood glamour. With a low messy bun and a peachy lip, Blair’s natural smile and ease shine through in these candid moments.
Blair’s personal aesthetic of clean lines, classy silhouettes, and feminine details made for an ideal model for our 2017 Collections. Not only was she a joy to work with, but also she had a great time as the shoot was the first time she had ever tried on wedding dresses!
Next, it was up to the rooftop at Colony Studios to get some great shots of Blair under the late-afternoon sun wearing lacey Nenufar dress from the Atelier Pronovias 2017 Collection. This is one of our favorite photos with the iconic New York skyline in the background.
With the low V illusion neckline in tulle and lace, Nenufar gown is sophisticated and sexy with a side slit in the skirt. Plus, the deep-V neckline in lace makes Nenufar a great example of the fashion forward cut out trend, which helps make more petite girls seem taller and elongates the figure.
For her final look we went back onto the streets, and Blair made us all swoon in the sleek crepe Nogal gown from the Atelier Pronovias 2017 Collection. Conservative in the front with a gorgeous open back, Nogal dress is perfect for non-traditional brides who want a beautiful, minimalistic look.
To complete this look, we cleaned up her messy low bun into a smooth low bun with a middle part, and added her signature red lip. Blair loved getting to add touches of her personality and daily style into the shoot, really making the bridal looks her own.
We had such a fabulous time making this shoot come to life with Blair! We originally fell in love with her classic New York flair and commitment to pursuing fashion blogging in its purest state. Then she won us over entirely while at the shoot. As an actual bride-to-be herself, we wish Blair the best of luck in the wedding planning process and hope that she finds the dress of her dreams.
