SUSTAINABILITY REPORT

OUR DRESSES

Pronovias Group is on track to reach its goal of a 40% sustainability component in all its dresses by 2025. From occasion wear to haute couture bridal and ready to wear, this will apply to every dress, in all the five brands of our portfolio.
Currently, 15% of the total number of Pronovias-brand dresses, are made with sustainable and environment-friendly materials under the #WeDoEco initiative, a pioneer in the bridal industry.

The luxury fabrics that we use to dress brides sustainably with our #WeDoEco collections have been certified by global gatekeepers of ecological standards. In addition, every zipper, button, embroidery, lace and bead is sourced from eco and ethical suppliers.

OUR PACKAGING

Currently our packaging consists of 50% sustainable and recycled materials. By the end of 2023, we aim to make this 100%. In addition, we have standardized packaging architecture across our brands in order to eradicate spending energy on re-branding.  Eighty percent of the hangers we use are made of liquid wood, and our garment bags are sewn with pure organic cotton without any metal components.

OUR SUPPLIERS

As well as our employees, all our suppliers are required to sign a Code of Conduct that guarantees adherence to safety standards, social protocols and supply chain accountability.

We have devised a five- year plan of clear and non-negotiable best practice standards (human rights, environment, intellectual property, data protection etc) for all our suppliers and manufacturers, along with an ethics committee to make sure these standards are kept. Close proximity of suppliers will be prioritized in an effort to promote local economy and reduce air and sea transport.

RECYCLE, REUSE, RELOVE

Pronovias Group actively promotes recycling and reusing wedding dresses with specific initiatives. In partnership with the non-profits Brides Do Good and Brides for a Cause, our ‘MyDressxHerFuture’ project facilitates donating used wedding dresses for re-sale, with funds going to improve the lives of women in developing countries.

In addition, the company has launched to great success, ‘Second Life’. With this program, brides can have their wedding dresses altered free of charge after their wedding, transforming it into an ocassional dress they can wear again and again.

UN's GLOBAL COMPACT PROGRAM

Pronovias Group is member of the UN’s Global Compact program. The company joins the movement to create a better world, making its business accountable in terms of human rights, labor, social impact, environment and anti-corruption.

Based on the UN Global Compact Principles, the company will undertake strategic actions to help advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

THE ENVIRONMENT

Pronovias believes that environmental safeguarding is essential for the fashion industry’s ability to sustain itself. During 2021, the Pronovias Group succeeded in strengthening its commitment to the environment, minimizing the environmental impact of its activities throughout the entire life cycle of its product (design, manufacturing, distribution and sales process) and specifically in relation to Greenhouse Gas emissions.

Our goal is to cut GHGs by 30% by 2025. In addition, we are adopting more specific energy and water consumption and recycling and waste management policies and closer and more accurate monitoring of all our operations.

WASTE REDUCTION AND CIRCULARITY

Pronovias Group strengthens its waste reduction commitment through collaboration with RECOVO, a company that empowers circularity in the fashion industry. With this partnership, Pronovias Group is able to boost its recycling of surplus fabric in order to reduce environmental impact and textile waste. RECOVO estimates that in 2022 along this agreement has saved 154.434 liters of water, 715 kgs of C02 and 304 grams of Phosphates.

In addition, the company recently joined the "Pacte per la Moda Circular" promoted by the Department of Climate Action of the Generalitat de Catalunya, in order to move towards a sustainable manufacturing and distribution model ahead of future legislation.

HUMAN RIGHTS

Pronovias Group is fully committed to upholding Human Rights in all its activities. Our policies are guided by, but not limited to, those expressed in the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights, the International Labor Organization and the Modern Slavery Act of 2015. We have publicly committed to a zero tolerance approach to slavery and human trafficking in our all our internal and external operations and supply chains.
